How was it done?
Process:
Renovation of a pine mirror and trunk set:
1. Thorough cleaning and protection of the tiles and the mirror glass with masking tape.
2. Stripping and subsequent sanding, combining:
Orbital sander for flat surfaces.
Flat sander for smaller and flat surfaces.
Sponge sandpaper (manual) for corners and angular areas.
3. Once the natural pine tone has been achieved and the surface is free of small dents, knocks and any remaining old varnish, a new staining is carried out according to the tone requested by the client.
4. After 24 hours of drying, three coats of matte polyurethane varnish are applied, respecting the 12-hour drying time between coats and sanding with a very fine sandpaper (grit 300-400 between coats and grit 800 on the last one).
